Belo Horizonte is home to two major clubs: Cruzeiro and Atlético Mineiro. This city was the greatest in Brazilian football of 2014, due to Atlético Mineiro winning the Copa do Brasil and Recopa Sudamericana, and Cruzeiro winning the Campeonato Brasileiro and Campeonato Mineiro, BUT losing to Atlético Mineiro in the Copa do Brasil finals, and San Lorenzo de Almagro in the Copa Libertadores quarter-finals, the farthest a Brazilian club went in the Copa Libertadores that year, due to the events at the World Cup (losing to Germany and Holland). The crest of Atlético Mineiro is one of the more recognizable ones in football. Considering it's just white stripes, the transfer to Cruzeiro's badge was not as pretty as Cruzeiro using the badge of Atlético Mineiro. Since the southern cross (Crux constellation) is part of club culture, I kept it. I'm happy with both
