The old system definitely offered a better experience for those voting, but the problem is it took way too long to organize the voting (and then to count the votes). As I've stated a couple of weeks ago, I'll have less time to host the competition starting next month, and since no one volunteered to host it in my place, I had to come up with an alternative to streamline the process and keep the KOTW going. I know it's not ideal, but it's better than ending the competition altogether.I also did a test voting last week exactly to gather feedback from people, but very few gave their opinions (none of whom complained about the new system). I hope you can all understand and please use the poll system. :(

* Since we're in a process of transition, I'll still accept votes in the comment section (both here and there in the poll), but starting next week votes in the comment section or anywhere not using the poll system itself won't count to the results.

I personally don't mind the new voting system, as @raffe said it's definitely better than no KOTW at all. If someone volunteers to manage the competition in the future they might revert to the old system (which I agree offered a better voting experience), but for now I see no issues with trying something new to keep things going.

I don't know what's to complain about. It's so much easier than typing out the usernames.
This feels more efficient and even lets us split votes if we are having trouble deciding!
I could vote 3, 2, 2, 2 if I wanted to. Or just give everybody 1s.

  @Skyebaggie If you hover on one of the images, a button with three dots will appear. If you click it, there'll be a 'participants' option, where you can see the votes given to a design :)
