Hello all again. This is the drawing of the groups (i was using an app called Random Name Picker). For the next seasons, we'll seed the designers according to the results from the previous seasons. Few rules and details: GROUP STAGE The competitors will play against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format. In the first 3 rounds/matchdays, home shirt/kit of the given club will be designed and in the last 3, the away shirt/kit. Trough the group stage, standings will be decided by the points and in case of ties, vote difference (VD) and votes for (VF) will be used in this order. However, the final standings in case of tied participants will be determined using the following criteria, in the given order: 1. points in head to head matches among tied competitors 2. VD in head to head matches among tied competitors 3. VD in all group matches 4. VF in all group matches (if needed, we'll use further criteria inspired by football competitions)
KNOCKOUT STAGE In the knockout stages, each tie will be played over two legs (1st leg - home shirt, 2nd leg - away shirt). For the 2nd leg of the knockout stages, the given time for voting will be one day shorter (friday to thursday) and the competitor recieving more votes on aggregate advances to the next round. There will be no such thing as "away goal rule" so in case of an aggregate tie, an extra day of voting will be allowed (thursday to friday). If the situation stays the same, "golden vote" will be aplied - first vote will be the winning vote. (hope we'll never get to this because this will mean that next round could be postponed a bit) The final will be held in one leg, and the finalists will design whatever type of shirt/kit they want (home, away, 3rd, 4th, goalkeeper, special edition, anniversary, etc)(of the given club).

There are some other details that i would like to lay down to you for an open discussion. Any participant can come with ideas or feedback in these matters. (till tomorrow)
1. The designs for voting will be posted in just 2 posts, one for matches from the groups A and B (wich will be bracket together later) and the other for groups C and D. We'll do that to keep things tidy and for easing the voting procces. 2. All the competitors are expected to vote on all matches except those in their group. We also invite any user to cast votes in as many matches as possible (see 3.) 3. I propose that the votes from very new users (under 20 account visualizations) not to be taken into consideration. 4. For this inaugural season, my idea is to use pretty known clubs from top leagues/divisions across Europe. 5. I propose that the entries must be at least 1200*1200px and i intend to use 1:1 crop scale for the voting posts.
I am gladly open to any opinions and sugestions. If everything is fine, tomorrow we'll start the competition. The entries must be posted till thursday august 29, 23:59 CET (not a very strict rule, i will accept entries till friday when i prepare the voting and next matchday)

Sounds great to me! The only thing I'd suggest is to change #4, as I think there are well known teams in America (USA, Mexico, and Brazil, among a few others) and Asia (mostly China, Japan and maybe South Korea) that could be used and that would bring more "diversity" to the competition. But that's not much of a big deal - if for practicity's sake it'd be better to only use European teams, that's perfectly fine.

i tought to use other continets clubs in next seasons of the competition if everything goes well..KOTW is covering for the moment that, so...that was somehow the logic..

Will you be picking the team to design in each round? And as you said earlier can we use present club logo or our own design, both for club and kit brand.
terion
yes, i intended to pick the clubs randomly for every match (as i said, top-middle level european clubs) and i will try to be as neutral as i can, but if is any better idea of picking the clubs, i'm glad to hear. and yeah, we can use real sportswear brand or our own fantasy brand. Also we can use the club logo, an old logo of the club, or any interpretation or rebranding of our own choise.
