And by that we mean, very last minute gift guide. Yeah, you're gonna need to go out to the shops yourself - urgh! How uncouth! - or pay top dollar for the superfast delivery service (they charge a lot, right?), and in some cases this'll be entirely impossible, unless you do presents at New Year or Epiphany or some such.

Anyway, here are some ideas of what you can get your loved ones, or maybe still instruct your loved ones to buy you - don't delay!

Ok, unquestionably (!), the biggest story in football design this year was The Football Attic's 50 Greatest Football Shirts Ever countdown.  Perhaps owing to the popularity of that summer highlight, adidas have released a load of retro items which refer to the famous band featured on TFA's Number 1. So, accordingly, we should be directing you to purchase this hat, which should be one of the greatest things ever, but isn't (look closely). Instead, how about this:

And, of course, the new adidas Germany kits and trainingwear are fantastic (as are Spain's), so you could get the world champions' new Home kit, or indeed the bib-tastic...

While we're on the subject of great shirts, I'd suggest non-UK resident gift-buyers/kit geeks, could go for the very cool, very historically savvy....

If a shirt's not quite the right thing, then how about some boots? Of course there are the usual suspects, which have made the headlines this year (laceless? Anyone?) but how about a pair endorsed by Wayne Rooney, who the critics will say has had a shocker, but the history books will sing a different tune about?

Of course, what would Christmas be without a baselayer? This blogger is biased, but in all seriousness, a baselayer is an extremely versatile bit of clothing. Football matches? Check. Football training? Check. Running? Check. Cycling? They're only the blooming choir! So there are lots of examples, each with wicking and body temperature raising, lowering and regulating technology included to your taste, but for peak geekery my favourite is the oddly launched - black and white publicity pictures? Are you serious? - and then never seen on the field of play, presumably reg-bothering pink PSG number. Not a PSG fan? No matter. Nike don't shoot themselves in the foot! No club branding will be found on item nor packaging.

Ok, so we've done shirts, boots and baselayers... Shorts! 2015 was the year when adidas and Nike (it's funny how they often end up doing similar things at the same time) realised that shorts are far more versatile than shirts, so a little more effort is in order. So we got those Milan ones - swiftly moving on... - the Chelsea ones, the Nike 'Night Rising' range ones, and, probably the best of the lot for looking cool out jogging or sitting on a beach, the...

And socks! Only two true contenders here, and they're both from Buenos Aires. Firstly, River Plate's blindingly obvious, but rarely (never?) before seen...

...and the outgoing Boca Juniors' colouring of the now familiar...

With all this kit, you'll need a ball...

And for those with a more laissez-faire attitude to the game, how about a book? There's...

...which is, by all accounts, fantastic, and to complete the dearly departed Football Attic's bookending (no pun intended) of this list, Richard Johnson's...

And that's it. Time's almost up, so get on it, but we hope, belatedly, we've given you a few ideas. Have a very happy Christmas and New Year, whatever you put, or receive from, under the tree.
